About Me

Hi, my name is Jordan, and I love to create.

Music, photographs, films, and now websites. Different mediums, same instinct: take the thing in your head and get it out into the world properly.

Always Creating

I’ve always had the urge to make things.

As a kid, I was fascinated by both art and technology. When I was six years old, I was already sitting at my dad’s computer making drawings and simple animations in Photoshop. Looking back, I didn’t know it then, but those hours sparked something that would shape the rest of my life.

Today I’m 26, and that curiosity has grown into a wide range of creative skills. I’ve spent years learning graphic design, web development, video production, photography, audio engineering, and marketing. Every skill has built on the last, giving me the ability to bring ideas to life in different ways.

Over time, though, I realized creativity by itself isn’t enough. Art without purpose only goes so far.

I believe the gifts we’ve been given are meant to serve other people. Whether I’m designing a website that helps a small business grow, creating visuals for a nonprofit, or making something meaningful for friends and family, my goal is always the same: to create work that genuinely helps someone else.

That’s also how I approach business. I don’t believe in pretending to be a giant agency or creating a polished image that isn’t real. I’d rather be honest, approachable, and do work I’m proud to put my name on.

Through-Hiking the Appalachian Trail

In 2022, I quit my job, moved out of my apartment, and started walking.

For the next six months, I hiked more than 2,200 miles from Georgia to Maine, carrying everything I owned on my back. The photo was taken on the final day, standing on the summit of Mount Katahdin, where the Appalachian Trail comes to an end.

You might be wondering what that has to do with Gilded Pixel Studio.

The truth is, it has everything to do with it.

Before that journey, I had spent years struggling with anxiety and depression. Somewhere along those miles, I met God in a way that completely changed my life. I came home with a peace and joy I had never experienced before.

The trail didn’t just change my outlook. It changed what I wanted my life to be about.

It taught me that people matter more than success, and that the work we do should leave others better than we found them.

That’s why I started Gilded Pixel Studio.

This business isn’t just about building websites. It’s about using the creative and technical skills I’ve been given to serve people honestly, treat clients well, and help businesses that are making a positive impact in their communities.

The reason any of it matters

I’m engaged to an incredible woman, and together we dream of building a family.

More than anything, I want to provide a good life for them while also being present enough to enjoy it. I don’t want to spend my life chasing a paycheck while missing the people I’m working so hard for.

That’s the real reason this studio exists.

It’s why you’ll talk directly with me instead of getting passed between departments. It’s why I’d rather work with a smaller number of clients and do exceptional work than rush through projects just to grow faster. It’s why I care about your deadlines, your goals, and your success.

At the end of the day, people hire people.

If we’re going to work together, I think you deserve to know who I am and why I care so much about the work I do.

Why this exists

We were planning a wedding, and every website we needed was quietly awful.

Slow to load. Impossible to navigate. Half the questions we actually had were never answered anywhere on the page. We were trying to give these businesses money and they were making it hard.

On one of them I noticed a small credit at the bottom of the page: created by a marketing company. I clicked it out of curiosity. Their own site listed client after client, multi-million dollar companies, big names.

That was the moment. The gall it takes to hand a small business something that poor, and to charge them properly for it. That vendor was not being helped, they were being quietly done a disservice, and they had no way of knowing it.

And I had seen the other side of it already. In previous roles I was head of marketing, I hired two separate agencies, and I fired both. Bureaucracy, layers of account managers, nobody who actually cared about the work.

So I sat there thinking, I could do this ten times better than what I am looking at, for a fraction of what these people were charged. That thought did not go away. This studio is what it turned into.

Which is why it stays one person: no account managers, no queue, no committee. You talk to the man who builds it.
