Priced in the open. No surprises.
Most studios make you book a call to hear a number. Here are all of mine, with a builder below that puts your quote together while you read.
- Single pageUsually 1 to 2 weeks
- $2,000
- Up to 5 pagesUsually 3 to 4 weeks
- $3,500
- 6 to 8 pagesUsually 4 to 6 weeks
- $5,000
Then $20 a month to host, first month free. Half to start, the rest when you approve the finished site.

Half up front to hold your spot, the rest when you approve the finished site. The first month of care is free either way, which covers the flurry of small tweaks everyone has right after going live. Hosting and Care+ are month to month: cancel any time by text or email.
The terms, in plain English
No long-term contract and no fine print later. This is the short version; the full terms are written the same way.
- Paying. Half up front holds your spot. The rest is due when you approve the finished site, before it goes live.
- Changing your mind. Cancel before I start and your deposit comes back in full. Once work has begun, the deposit covers the time already spent.
- How long it takes. A single page usually takes 1 to 2 weeks, up to 5 pages 3 to 4 weeks, and 6 to 8 pages 4 to 6 weeks, from deposit to live. The biggest factor is how quickly your words, photos and edits come back to me. If you move quickly, it can be much faster: even 6 to 8 pages can be ready in about a week.
- Changes before launch. Up to three rounds are included, and anything broken in the first 30 days after launch is fixed free.
- After launch. Hosting ($20) and Care+ ($99) are month to month. Cancel any time by text or email. The first month is free either way.
- Bigger changes later. $75 to $125 each, or covered by Care+ up to two hours a month. You can always change your own words and photos for free.
- Leaving. It is your website. If you ever want it somewhere else, I set it up on the host you choose for a one-time $200.
- No add-ons. The price covers the build, moving your old site and help with the writing. Nothing is added later.
What every website includes
These are not upsells. Every site leaves here with all of them.
Keeping your place in Google
This is where redesigns go wrong. A site can look twice as good and quietly lose the search traffic that was feeding the business, because the old addresses stopped working and nobody noticed for a month.
The same launch, done carefully: usually a short dip for a few weeks, then the line recovers.
A line chart of search traffic over a year. A careless relaunch makes the line fall off a cliff and stay low. Done carefully, the same relaunch causes only a brief dip before the line recovers and keeps climbing.
So a move is a checklist, not a leap. If you have rankings worth protecting, here is what happens before anything goes live.
- Every old page gets inventoried. Not from memory, from a crawl of your current site.
- Every old address points somewhere sensible. Permanent redirects, no dead ends, no dumping the whole site onto the homepage.
- Your titles and headings travel with you. Keeping the address is only half of it.
- Your email keeps working. Website and email only share a name. I copy every email setting before the move and test your email after it.
- The old site is backed up first. If anything looks wrong, we can put it back while I sort it out.
- You get told what normal looks like. Traffic often dips for a few weeks after any move, then settles. Expected is very different from alarming.
It is yours, and you can edit it yourself
Plenty of studios build you a site and quietly become the only person who can change it. Every small edit turns into an email, a queue, and a bill. That is a business model, not a service.
Yours ships with an edit screen made for you, not for a developer. Change the words, swap the photos, update your hours, press publish.
Maple & Vine Cafe
Slow mornings, good coffee.
Go ahead, try it. I am here for the big moves, not for fixing a typo.
- Text and photos. Yours to change, any time, from any browser.
- Hours, phone, address. Update once and it corrects everywhere it appears.
- Reviews and gallery items. Add them as they come in.
- Big design changes. That is my job. Either per change or included in Care+.
Five steps, and what each one means
The short version lives on the home page. This is the long version, so you know exactly what you are agreeing to before you agree to it. Tap a step to read it.
A call, twenty minutes or so, where I ask about the business rather than about websites. What you do, who your customers are, and the one thing you need the site to do: ring the phone, fill the calendar, or bring in quote requests.
- I will ask whether you already have a site, and whether it earns you anything from Google. That answer decides whether this is a simple build or a careful move.
- I will ask about your email address on the domain, because that is the thing most likely to break in a move and the thing I most want to protect.
- You will get a straight recommendation on which size fits. If a smaller one does the job, I will say so.
Half up front holds your spot on the calendar, and nothing starts until it clears. That's what reserves your build slot, so your project isn't waiting in a queue behind someone who hasn't committed.
- Pay by card or bank from the pay page. A receipt lands in your inbox.
- The other half is due when you approve the finished site, before it goes live. There's no invoice waiting for you after launch.
- Before I start, I'll need your photos, your words, and any logins. Getting those in early is the single biggest thing that keeps a project moving.
I build the real thing at a private link only you have. Not a slideshow of pictures, not a mockup: a working site you can open on your own phone, send to your spouse, and scroll on the couch.
- Send changes however is easiest for you: text, email, screenshots, even a photo of a printout with scribbles on it. No need to save them up, send them whenever you think of them.
- I keep one numbered list and send it back before each build day so you can check I've got it right. Most sites are right after one round, and up to three are included.
- If something you ask for would hurt the site, I will tell you why and offer a better version. You are paying for that judgment, not just for the typing.
When you're happy with it, you say so in writing, even a text saying go ahead, and the balance is due. Then the technical part is mine: domain, security certificate, redirects, search console, the lot. A new site goes live the same day the final invoice clears. Moving an existing site takes up to 24 hours, because I'd rather do it carefully than fast.
- Your old addresses keep working, pointed permanently at their new homes.
- Your email keeps working. I copy every email setting before launch day and test your email after the switch.
- The old site is backed up first, so there is a way back if anything looks wrong.
We sit down and I show you your edit screen. Change your words, swap your photos, update your hours, press publish. Then I watch the site closely for the first week, which is exactly when everybody finds the small things they want moved.
- Anything broken is fixed free for 30 days, you get one more round of edits on me, and your first month of care is free.
- After that, everyday changes happen on your own edit screen. Bigger ones are $75 to $125 each, or covered by Care+ at $99 a month with up to two hours of design changes.
- The site is yours. If you ever want to take it elsewhere, you can, for a one-time handoff.
Questions people ask
How much does a website cost?
$2,000 for a single page, $3,500 for up to 5 pages, and $5,000 for 6 to 8 pages. Hosting is $20 a month after launch, and the first month is free. Those are the whole prices.
How long does it take?
Usually 1 to 2 weeks for a single page, 3 to 4 weeks for up to 5 pages, and 4 to 6 weeks for 6 to 8 pages. How quickly your words, photos and edits come back makes the biggest difference. If you move quickly, it can be a lot faster. Even a site of 6 to 8 pages can be ready in about a week: for Ontario Tinting, I built eight new pages in a day and relaunched the whole site in seven days.
What do I need to give you?
Your logo if you have one, photos of your work, and the basics: what you do, where, and how people reach you. Not a writer? Tell me about the business and I will draft the words for you to check, at no extra cost.
Do I own the website?
Yes. It is yours, and nothing is held hostage. Your files are free whenever you leave. If you would like me to set it up on another host, that is a one-time $200.
Can I change things myself?
Yes. Every site comes with a simple edit screen: change your words, swap your photos, update your hours, press publish. No developer needed.
What if I already have a website?
I rebuild it and move it for you at the same price. Every old page address keeps working, and your email is left alone.
Do you use WordPress, Wix or templates?
No. Each site is built from a blank page for your business, so there are no plugins to update and nothing that looks like everyone else.
Can you get me to number one on Google?
Nobody honest can promise that. Every site is set up properly for search engines, and where you land depends on things like your reviews, your competition and time. I will tell you plainly what helps.
Do you only work in Oxford?
I am based in Oxford and work with businesses across Oakland and Lapeer counties and beyond. The work runs on Zoom, email and text, so everyone gets the same price and timeline.
How do we get started?
